14 September 2004 Aeropelican celebrates new Bandeirante plane with $79 flightsAeropelican will begin regular public transport flights with its new bandeirante aircraft on Monday 20 September. The new plane was approved by CASA yesterday, after a successful proving flight. Aeropelican will run 4 return services a day between Newcastle (Williamtown) and Sydney - Monday to Friday and 2 return services a day Saturday and Sundays. The increase will mean there will be 796 seats a week between Newcastle and Sydney (383 each way) The bandeirante aircraft is ideally suited for the Newcastle - Sydney run. It's expected to reduce the current flying time of the Twin Otter by up to 10 minutes. The introduction of the Bandeirante has freed up the Twin Otter which now can be used to increase capacity at Newcastle in peak times, should the need arise. To celebrate the introduction of the Bandeirante, Aeropelican is offering a $79 one way fare to Sydney . Seats are limited and conditions apply.
