Aeropelican to fly to the Snowy Mountains !

Aeropelican Air Services announced today that they will be commencing direct air passenger services between Sydney and the Snowy Mountains, starting in June 2010.
Aeropelican is a Newcastle based independent regional airline, which currently operates services from Newcastle Airport (Williamtown) to Sydney and from Sydney to Narrabri and Mudgee.
Aeropelican operate a fleet of BAE Jetstream 32 aircraft that will operate the Snowy Mountains services.
General Manager of Aeropelican, Paul Graham said, “Aeropelican is extremely pleased to be involved in this exciting new service. We see this route to be an opportunity for both Aeropelican and the Snowy Mountains region. As an airline focused on regional New South Wales, Aeropelican is committed to maintaining and growing air services. The introduction of the direct services will be a boost for tourism and reduce travelling time from Sydney to the Snowy Mountains to just one hour”.
The Aeropelican service to the Snowy Mountains Airport will commence on the 11th of June, with return flights from Sydney to the Snowy Mountains on a daily basis during the winter snow season.
Aeropelican are also in the process of scheduling for an all year round service to better support the Snowy Mountains community.
Flights from Newcastle to Sydney will connect with all Sydney to Snowy Mountain services
The service is subject to regulatory approval.
